Wyoming is a very special state that is located in the mountain regions that comprise the Western United States. There are two facts which makes Wyoming different from other US states and these two facts are this. First of all, Wyoming contains the least in population as far as  the other 50 states go. The second fact is, that it is also the second least densely populated state, in addition. Nonetheless, a good two thirds of the entire state are covered by mountain ranges, as well as range lands. Wyoming is also the wearer of a few popular nick names that gives it lots of character. These nicknames are Big Wyoming, Cowboy State, and Equality State.
Cowboys and lots of Indians make up the very colorful history that lives on in Wyoming. When white explorers first entered the region, they encountered the original inhabitants, who were Indians. Some of these Indian tribes included the Lakota, the Arapaho, the Crow and the Shoshone. This region became known as Wyoming in 1865 and eve had a temporary government in place to take care of the territory. However, in 1867, Cheyenne, Wyoming started to grow by leaps and bounds due to the appearance of the Union Pacific Railroad. Because of the growth of the territory, and the increasing in number of population, the federal government made Wyoming Territory official as a state of July 25, 1868.
Very famous personages of history have walked the mountains and lands of Wyoming. Some of the include Sacagawea, John Colter, Robert Stuart, and Jim Bridger amid some notables. Wyoming is indeed a place to roam wild and free. Because there are lots of mountains and other wondrous sites to see. The Great Plains literally meet the Rocky Mountains here. It is definitely a place to be. If you love lots of scenic natural beauty, mountain ranges, and open country as far as the eye can see.
Wyoming offers so much to see and do that it is impossible to list everything. However, one of the most famous of all places to behold there is Yellowstone National Park. Yellowstone National Park was established in 1872 as a national park and it is indeed a very rich part of Wyoming's colorful tapestry. It contains lots of natural wonders and also lots of wilderness to explore. History and heritage also abounds in Wyoming from Buffalo Bill Historical Center to Pat-Tours on the Wind River Indian Reservation to beyond. Wyoming is Forever West from a cowboy and Indian perspective. Thus, this state has a very strong emphasis on preserving history, in order to tell the story of Wyoming The Territory.
Wyoming is indeed the place to visit as a tourist, If you an individual who loves Western and Indian culture. It is also the place to be, in addition, if you love everything about the outdoors and nature. This means hiking, fishing, wildlife watching, horseback riding, camping, to name only a few. Most importantly, it is the one place to be, if you want to do lots of winter skiing too.     
Come to Wyoming, to roam wild and be free. A trip here would indeed create a lifelong memory.
