The Alaska Wilderness Lodge is an incredible experience in a totally remote atmosphere where you can play hard, eat big and sleep deep. Its wholesomeness is popular with singles, couples, families and business groups alike, with many repeat and referred guests through the years. With both fresh and saltwater fishing plus a variety and abundance of wildlife plus some of the classiest accommodations, this has been a prized retreat since 1974 for photographers, sport-fishermen and adventurous vacationers.
Accommodations:
Spacious log guest cabins are elegantly rustic and cozy, nestled where the edge of the virgin forest meets with tranquil waters of a protected cove. Each cabin has two bedrooms, an ample living room and a modern bathroom with hot, running water and plenty of creature comforts. The lodge accommodates 24 guests and international references are readily provided. The lesser daily rate is for guests 19 years and younger.
Activities:
There's no better place for wildlife viewing in the United States, and we're sure you'll agree once you experience the beauty and diversity of life in Kodiak. You'll see elk, deer, puffins, and of course the famed brown bear; viewing the wildlife simply doesn't get much better than this. Spectacular saltwater and freshwater fishing opportunities in addition to clam-digging, beach combing, boating, and kayaking.
Dining:
Hearty local cuisine is served family style in the main lodge, plus a dandy packed lunch is prepared for an uninterrupted day with Mother Nature. Make sure and bring your appetite because we take our meals seriously here at “The Lodge”. We also do our very best to adapt our meals for special dietary requests.

Our lodge is a wilderness vacation retreat on the mountainous and densely forested Alaska Island, one of the Kodiak Islands group. Encompassing nearly 50,000 acres Alaska Island State Park can be accessed via air or boat.
