The 'See America Tour' Film Crew
We took a trip to Appleton, WI after community leaders submitted a compelling application exhibiting passion, pride, patriotism and promise.
AmericaTheBeautiful.com then visited Appleton and was able to experience firsthand a city filled with the true American spirit! We were touched and impressed with the vitality of this community.
Please take a moment to review the videos which show how the residents of this great American city come together to celebrate this great land.

To the City of Appleton and the Fox River Cities,
It is with great appreciation that all of us at AmericaTheBeautiful.com thank you for opening your arms to receive our video crew this past week.
We were very delighted by the reception and support we experienced over our brief stay in your community.
Our goal is to share the people and places around this great country that exhibit Passion, Pride, Patriotism and Promise with the world. Your community does this in a wonderful way. We were touched by the people we met with and have seen first hand a community coming together to show their respect for the fundamental values on which this country has been established.
Appleton is a city which exceeded our expectations in its beauty, charm, warmth and appeal. It is the kind of community America The Beautiful would call home.
My personal thanks go to Don Burich and Greg Otis (get well soon) for their efforts in bringing us to Appleton. I also am very grateful for the time Mayor Tim Hanna, Brigadier General (Rt) Gerry Miller, Poet Laureate Ellen Kort and Bill VanDenbrandt with Appleton Papers spent with us for one-on-one interviews.
We hope to come to Appleton again – we greatly enjoyed our visit. The world will soon see how amazing your community truly is.
Sincerely,
Peter F Smith
President
