Tennessee - Volunteer Yourself For Fun!
Tennessee is situated in the Southeastern portion of the United States and is dominated by the majestic presence of the Appalachian Mountains in eastern section of the state. The Mississippi River is what forms the western border, as well. The capital city of Tennessee is no other than Nashville and also its second largest city in population. Memphis is the largest city in population and is the county seat for Shelby County. The area that now comprises what is Tennessee was once land belonging to North Carolina and was also considered to be later on a part of the Southwest Territory. Tennessee became the 16th state to join the Union on June 1st, 1796 and is bordered by Kentucky and Virginia to the north, North Carolina in the east, and Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi in the south. Arkansas and Missouri are located to the west of it. This state wears the nickname of The Volunteer State and has had an important part in the establishment of many forms of popular music for America. These musical forms include country, rock and roll, blues, and rockabilly.
Tennessee is proudly nicknamed The Volunteer State and this nickname came about during The War of 1812. This is because of a lot of volunteer soldiers who offered their services during The Battle of New Orleans specifically. Tennessee's official state slogan is Tennessee – America At Its Best and this state slogan is what visitors to this gracious southern state will definitely find. Because Tennessee is surely a fine state that is definitely at its best when visitors are indeed in its midst.
Do volunteer yourself for a lot of fun here. This is because Tennessee has so much to offer to newcomers in its glorious midst. Not only does that southern state have lots of interesting and key attractions for people of all ages. It also has lots of very real history, scenic beauty beyond description, and culture that is diverse but still distinctly belonging to Tennessee.
Tennessee has lot of natural wonders such as The Lost Sea, The Smokey Mountain National Park, Reelfoot, and of all of the wildlife they have too. The Lost Sea is very unique natural wonder all its own and is said to be America's Largest Underground Lake that is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records. It has also been listed as a natural landmark by the Department of the Interior. Reelfoot Lake is the only lake in Tennessee that was created naturally as the result of the New Madrid Earthquake that happened in 1811. This beautiful lake is twenty miles long and seven feet wide. It also has a lot of colorful legends associated with it and today is a peaceful preserve. It also offers year round hunting and fishing.
Besides having lots of natural wonders and historic points of interest. Tennessee has so much more from a tourist perspective and this so much more cannot all be included here. However, some of the attractions in this state are uncommon, in addition to all of the other things to see and do. The options for seeing, doing, and experiencing are as broad as the state is itself..
Nonetheless, here are just a few samples of what, Tennessee does volunteer freely to visitors. Beale Street Historic District, Adventure Science Center, Beechcraft Heritage Museum, Birthplace of Country Music Alliance Museum, Country Music Hall of Fame And Museum, Cirque de Chine, Cumberland Caverns, Natchez Trace State Park, Lucky Ladd Farms, Memphis Zoo, Dollywood, and Elvis Presley's Graceland.
Tennessee definitely has it all for tourists and then some. So, with this said, come and volunteer yourself to be thoroughly amazed... enjoy all that this wonderful state has to offer.
